Shadowfactor Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Ok I have a the system in sig and well Im overclocking as you all know , but I am doing a test using Sisoft sandra burn-in test at 2.6 ghz and it reads that Core 0 is at 1.39 V and Core 1 is at 1.17 V Whats going on there ? I have the Bios set at 1.463 ( 1.10 V X 133 special Voltage=1.463) Does that set the Voltage for both core's ?? Also Can I trust the readings Sandra Soft gives me for Voltages like I just installed this OCZ Modstream 520 W and it says my Voltages are 3.26 , 4.94 and 11.49 .... Bios says 3.3 V , 4.96 V and 11.89 V for voltage..... Which one should I believe more....
Guest Raven65 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 The lower volts of your powerstream are your rails 5v 3v and 12v. Get a multimeter that's the best way to test them. as per your cpu just check the cpu and bios info on sandra.
Shadowfactor Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I have the bios set for 1.100 V and the VID special thing set at 133 % so it should be a 1.463 Vcore only Sisoft reads it as 1.39V as well as cpu-z Is my motherboard unvolting the CPU core , maybe thats why It hardly gets into windows at 2.76 ghz with 1.550 ?? DevilMB3017 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 SiSoft tends to read things wrong. But more importantly, I think your motherboard is undervolting, or you just should stop using the VID thing. Use BIOS to acutally change the CPU's vCore. Shadowfactor Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 THE VID thing is in the bios , It's so you can use special voltages and like have different Value's... How do I check if my Motherboard is undervolting my cpu and how do I fix it.. I just got a new PSU it's a Modstream 520....

hardnrg Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 ok, the first two columns you should know... VID (aka vcore) and %OV (overvolt %age).... the rest is DMM at the socket idle and load, and the CPU-Z reading...
