Got Past 2.4

Hey guys. I finally got past 2.4 on this board. I had to raise the vcore up to 1.497 and I also raised the Dram voltage up to 2.7 . I got up to 2.45 stable now but anything higher and it only posts. It doesn't make it to the splash screen. My temps are still good. 31c idle and 39c load. So should I shoot for more volts on the cpu and ram or just one or the other?

I would raise the volts to 1.55 or 1.6 depeding on your temps. The your ram voltage should be around 2.9 to 3

try changing the divider to see how high the cpu can go with out having to stress too much on the ram and mem controller

Ok would 1.6vcore be too high for the memory controller? And is my ram really capable of 3volts? I hope so..

 

Edit-Ok I just checked core center and it displayed my vcore as 1.47 which is lower then the bios's 1.49..You think the bios is more right? Oh and I am running a divider.

Yes i had some xms at 3 volts as long as it does not overheat, and for your ram to overheat you would have to have horrible airflow.

And you'll lose your warranty at those voltages. A Neo4 can't go over 2.85v on the RAM anyways. Don't start passing around bad/false advice. Unless you have v1.x to 2.x of Corsair XMS non-Pro/LLPT, you should not be exceeding 2.9.

Ahh good point. I forgot the the limits of my board. I'll try 2.85.
