alechko88 Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 TerraTec Electronic started shipping the first ever GeForce FX 5800 and its big brother 5800 ultra. but the official price is now 579(!) Euro for the 5800 (400Mhz core) and 649(!) Euro the 5800 ultra (500Mhz core)... and i ask my self and you, how can a card that its peformance is only about 10% better than ATI's Radeon 9700 pro cost as much as twice the radeod?!? and as we all know soon ATI will release its R350 chipset based card, this card is expected to be much better than the R300 chipset and from that i think it would eat the GFX alive.... and that would be a major problem for the chip manufacturer nVIDIA that doesnt excpect any new chipsets untill 4th quarter 2004.
