confuzzedintelguy Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 simple question not trying to be rude but why the hell would you buy it if you are scared to use it :/
oralpain Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 No way would it be harmful, unless you started off running at insane votlages, or the grease has thermal conductivity similar to wood. Never seen a A64 board that didn't cut power to the CPU if temps got way too high. In the longer term, you can keep an eye on the temps. Really, it would be hard to find a thermal interface material, oil, tooth paste, lubricant, hell basically any liquid that was not designed to be an insulator, that would not conduct heat well enough to use a san deigo at stock voltage for the short term. Arkadiy Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Well, just today I decided to test this stuff out, and it's awesome! Much to my surprise my temps went 2 - 3 C down on idle and 5 C down on load, I am really happy that I finally took the chance of using it.
