Special Characters In Homepage Links

yea this has been bothering me for a while....but, if there's a special character in a thread that was recently posted in...on the homepage it has those "quick links" ya know...but if that thread title has a special char in it, it gives me a nice 404 error =)

 

i don't know if this can be fixed....other than dissallowing special chars in thread titles.

 

 

let's make a list:

 

so far...for SURE i know doesn't work are:

(i've had problems previously with other chars but i can't remember exactly which ones.

Me too, with characters like @ # % etc.

 

I've noticed that pages come in two ways.
