Bunker Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Can windows media player or ATI file player play DVD rips or xxvd, or whatever the file extension is. Just wondering. 518646[/snapback] sure it can you jsut have to have a suitable codec install on ur maschine btw: u should use wmp instead of the ati-thingy, coz the ati player got performance issues but i'm using none of both using bs-player and i'm pretty satisfied with it but it screws with other players though
Propane Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I dont think they can straight from HD... but nero can play from a specified folder and if you have dvd files in that folder then it will load up like a dvd...
Aristotle Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 If the DVD rip is an ISO image, you will have to mount it to a virtual drive. By doing so, the rip will play like a normal DVD inserted into a drive. If the file type is VOB, you will need a codec or a player that supports vob files. Blue_cow Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Quick question. Anybdoy know any .vob to .avi converters? and possibly ones where you can chose the quality so that you dont have like a 5 gig .avi file? Thanks a bunch, rather than posting the answer here, just PM me please. Thanks.
