OptikaliLLusion Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I bought HL2 ysterday, over steam. Got it installed today, start it up... and I'm greeted by an infinite loading screen. Try to CTRL+ALT+DEL my way out of it, but nothing works. Restart, login, start up HL2. Same thing happens again.
NCC10281982B Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 How much of the game do you have downloaded? It takes at least a day to get all of it.

guzzidom Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Between buying it and finishing the game I've had two (un related) system corruptions meaning full OS re-installs, thankfully I put the save games on to my usb pen thingy but nevertheless, even with the CD it still made me do two 5hr downloads. I was initially ok with Valves anti-piracy measures but would now happily beat any Valve employee into a snotty pulp, thank goodness it is the best game ever made or they would never get away with it, I mean would you put up with it for MOHAA Pacific Assault. no, thought not.
