kendellrt Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 you could make a bootable cd and put the flash utility on it as well as the .bin BIOS file. Boot up with that and run it. I think that should work, but don't blame me if I am wrong.
annihilator_god Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 My asus p4p800 comes with a live-flash utility. It can actually flash the bios while in windows. The utility is called "Asus Update" and comes with another utility "asus mylogo2" (choose your own boot logo, not just the stupid default). Not sure if your board supports it, (or one like it) but check your docs. Otherwise, The bootable cd-trick works, I've used it. Also, creating a bootable flash drive (compact flash card, smart media card, USB pendrive, etc) would work (check your BIOS for "removable devices" boot option)
