sdy284 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 (edited) Well I agree Doom3 is nothing new except the awesome graphics but maybe because I was around for the original and subsequent sequels I am loyal to Doom 390160[/snapback] i'm not as old as you, but i vividly playing DOOM & DOOMII, as well as Heretic and games like that. But i'd have to say that playing Doom 3, HL2, and COD, for many hours each....the order of goodness is something like this... 1. HL2 <-- by a longshot 2. CoD <-- way better, but not as pretty as DOOM3. but i prefer function over form 3. DOOM3 <-- nothing is worse than repetition...except repetitive darkness Edited January 21, 2005 by sdy284
guzzidom Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 And of course you can play for a while as a British Paratrooper which is a refreshing change (as our war started 3 yrs before the American involvement!) we are normally ignored in movies and games so it's nice to get a slight nod of respect for losing 48% of our entire male population between 16 and 30yrs, and of course the Bren Gun is a blast!
