daniel Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 yesteryday i was going to download the progs to benchmark.... But it said... The OCC is not responsible for any damages and stuff like that.... So im scared about getting them... r those progs really insecure... could the progs damage ur comp?
Nerm Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 no! now if you majorly overclock your comp to try and get higher scores now that can damage your comp. but the program itself can't damage it.
Byron Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Like nerm said, the benchmarks will just run your hardware at its max potential. Its really nothing more dangerous than f@h or prime95. It will just put your hardware under load conditions. So Nothing to worry about!

The program itself won't damage your comp. It just makes your comp run at 100% load which if not properly cooled my cause your computer to crash or damage hardware. cybergrunt69 Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 It's kind of a standard "catch-all" part of the license. It basically says that nobody but you is responsibe for anything that happens to your computer or it's programs, no matter what the software does.
