Aristotle Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Didn't Linux already locate working drivers for your soundcard when it configured itself during install?

Zarkhalar Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 BeatRyder: What sound system are you using and what sound card? run this command as root and post it here: lspci Also, just a note, Linux will allow you to 'overpower' your audio drivers. You will need to lower your sound output to be around 80% to get it in a stable, unstaticy level.
BeatRyder Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Well, I managed to figure it out I was forced to do a complete reinstall that didnt fix it, but I did find the sound options control pannel and chose a different device or something but it works fine now. :D
Zarkhalar Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Patients is a good thing man... Reinstallation isn't needed for every problem. This is Linux, not Windows...
