paco785 Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Well i got the aspire turbo x dreamer case, which btw doesnt seem to be the best case out there for the money. but the case comes with two 80mm fans. one on the top of the case and one on the acrylic window. i had to remove the top one because i bought an aspire 500 w power supply and the fan doesnt fit with the power supply. any ways my question is the fans have 2 connectors a male and a female, do i need to connect them both?? RADEON Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 only one conection per fan. one of the conectors will have 2 or 3 wires going into the fan ,thats the one i usually use.
tazwegion Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 In short no, these are designed to allow you to 'tap into' power routed to say CD-ROM's HDD's etc. and will work fine simply pluggd into the female/PSU male connection, having said that though... in theory, if not practice maintaining a circuit's flow allows for the 'load' to be spread/dispersed more evenly Personally for sake of neatness, if nothing else I always connect those style fans 'in-line' with something I think RADEON is talking about those 2/3 pin header units that plug directly into the M/board
