Kamikaze_Badger Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Nicely said. All you have to do is give him any parts he's paid for(if he hasn't, then you can keep the parts and build us a folding rig), and tell him that you're not going to contribute to adult "entertainment". He shouldn't be able to take you to court or anything. Even if he does, then he can take a kick in the balls. I'm a former Christian, so I understand where you're coming from. suchuwato Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 (edited) just try to confuse the guy by saying that to run that kind of site he'll need a T1 pnf line coupled to a X6 decoder sat uplink system w/ dfg bus and a x7 cache. the rmf on the mtv of he's proposed sysetm will knock up the price to $480,000.87 per month with the additional $100,000 for the trl channel modulator, excluding the php rms then of couse you can't leave out the fuzzy drives he'll need along with the superdefragulator for the j9 box. (no, it's not supposed to make sense) yeah, do do have the right to refuse service. if you dont want to say why you don't have to, but you could say, for example, his credit card was bad, and that the guy across the street could probably do it cheaper anyway. Duke Atreides Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Sorry, forgot to put the requested update. I am just doing this on the side as a hobby more or less, because I actually enjoy it. I spoke to him on Monday about it and the guy was somewhat amused by what I told him, but I checked and the laws in Oklahoma have gotten stricter and with the kind of bandwidth he'll need and UBER COMP that would be necessary he decided not to mess with it. I never actually got to the part of not wanting to do it, I just handed back the money he had given me thus far. I understand that it is none of my business but he volunteered the info and I have seen online porn be a contributing factor to marriages crumble. My hobby has been rather slow, but oddly enough in the last five days I have fixed 5 comps and used most of the spare parts I was going to build this comp with, I have made about $800 in the last week and have a modest game comp order from a guy I work with which will use the remainder of the parts. It was none of my business, but selling someone something that I knew would be used for something I feel is immoral bothered me a great deal. And being a Christian I believe the massive amount of work that has come my way was a result of doing the right thing.
