OptikaliLLusion Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 I'm on a budget (I ain't spending more than $50 on some cooling), and I want to get a good cooling system for my CPU that meets this requirement.
4MD_4_M3 Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Get a thermalright slk900a and a 92mm tornaod
CyBerHigh Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 if your not going to oc, i would just use stock cooling...

hardnrg Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 if your not going to oc, i would just use stock cooling... you'd hope that he is planning on o/c-ing... posting on the occ forum yeah it seems thermalright take the air-cooling crown with sp-97 for motherboards with the four holes and slk900a for one's without them... i think you could probably get one of those heatsinks, a tornado, and a cheap fan controller, all for $50 or less... (you could always buy a fan controller later, but you'll probably want one!)
CyBerHigh Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 you'd hope that he is planning on o/c-ing... posting on the occ forum well you never know, some ppl don't think that the defualt heatsink + fan are good enough to use on there cpu. I was just pointing out that there is no reason to spend more money if you are not going to oc the cpu
hardnrg Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 yeah fair point... but the stock amd cooler is pretty noisy... you could get a zalman flower or something and not oc and that would be a good reason for a quieter puter... i hate stock... they're just so dang loud and annoying...
