OptikaliLLusion Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I know how to do -config, but what should I do to highly prioritize it and how do I find the priority for SETI?
d3bruts1d Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Open up task manager. Ctrl + Shft + Esc Click on the process tab. Right click the process Chose the "Set Priority" sub-menu
OptikaliLLusion Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Wierd... it is higher than SETI (S=low, FAH=Normal), but even after 30 minutes of waiting FAH wouldn't budge past the copyrights thing... should I set it higher (Say, high?) ClayMeow Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 the task manager means .. there's a post about it somewhere here already. F@H is designed to use your idle processes...messing with the priority doesn't affect it, and you'll notice that even if you change it...every time you get a new WU, it'll reset itself. Just get rid of SETI and use F@H. There's no point of running both, as you'll get less performance for both. If you really want to use both...If SETI options are similar to F@H, you can set that to use only 50%, and set F@H to 50%. tsamb. Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Here is a whole discussion on the same topic... Prioritize! People basically came to the conclusion that increasing F@H to a higher priority was pretty much redundant and it provided no performance increase at all... read what others have posted though, -tsamb.
