What Memory Will I Need For Best Speed

right guys got me cpu p4 3.2 800 fsb

 

This Is The Memory I Want Corsair 512MB DDR XMS4000 Pro CAS3

My Motherboard Is P4C800 E DELUX WILL I BE ABLE TO OVER CLOCK IT TO

3.8

 

or is the memory not faster enough for it or will it overkill my system

The memory should be able to handle that high I believe, but it's the stepping of your cpu and a little bit of luck, that will determine if you can get it to 3.8 or not. But the ram your getting shouldn't be the factor that holds you back if that's what you decide to get.

I have the 3.2EE rig in my sig. and a 3.2C. I have the OCZ PC4200 DDR533 enchanced latency its 2.5-4-4-7 in both and it is guranteed to run 250 clock on 1:1 divider and mine did do that and a little more but its also up to the CPU (all are different), most all other high speed RAM is cas 3-4-4-8, if I was going to run cas 3 I would get the OCZ PC4400 or 4500 which ever it is the DDR 566, here is what my 3.2EE done with a vdimm mod to give more voltage to the RAM. Also as someone said be sure you have a good cooling system and hope you got a good chip and 3.6 should not be a problom at all.
