OCit Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Right now I have distilled water with swiftechs supplied hydra x stuff running through my system. Its green and i sorta want blue (liek the rest of my case) so I was wondering if i could use just like straight blue window washer for cars. Will it damage my pump or anything? Thanks, Ted
kurosen Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 I would NOT use window washer fluid, it could end up corroding your pipes if it's the wrong stuff... Water and ONLY water should be used in water pumps... You want blue? Here ya go: http://www.xoxide.com/blueuvdye.html
SHOCKA Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 That and distilled water has almost all of the "contaminates" removed Ex Flouride Chlorine Salt anything that could leave a deposit in the system that could attack the metal. The Blue washer fluid I think has some alcohol coarse die some salt(diluted) and other things
exeter_acres Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 washer fluid bad... has some soaps sometimes too.... I use Water Wetter, but that is red... there is an anti-freeze that is blue that you could use, but I don't remember which one... or the dye posted earlier... DO NOT USE food coloring...icky! Nuclear Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Alot of people have run washer fluid mixed with a little distilled water with no problems, I wouldn't do, but it can be done. The easiest thing to do is just buy some UV dye like posted above, that way you don't have to change your water out.
