InvaderTrax Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 I've become addicted to having two CD drives (needed both to install Windows) and I now I want to keep both. The problem is, the second drive is beige, while everything else is silver. ARGGG! I want to paint the faceplate silver, but I'm not sure what's involved. Is it worth the trouble, or should I just spend $20 and get a silver drive off newegg?

InvaderTrax Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 What exactly does it mean to stealth the drive?
FunkyMonkey Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 u put the drive covers that came with the case, and attach them to the front of ur cd-drive you have to put the drives a few mm back so the ocver is plush with the case i know it's not to detailed but you'll easily find how-to's on it

bigred Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 those NEVER match up. tried them before, not only do they not match up the drive, they look silly anyhow, take the face plate off the drive, spray paint it's . with silver metallic, 2 light layers, then clear coat it. and when you're done you have a silver drive.
