Back in the early 90's, a British company was working on using power lines for internet hookup.

They were looking for $2 billion for funding. Nothing ever came of it that I know.

If this works, imagine what the internet would look like

Now, if only the U.S. could keep ICANN we would be in good shape for future internet growth.

AT&T already has the system up and running at some of it's own facilities delivering data for 4K TV and 4G LTE spectrum for smart phones,.. I guess the company is waiting for "favorable regulation" and "the right global location," whether that's in the US or elsewhere before releasing deployment date.
