Is This Ram Any Good?

Recommended Posts

I found this Ram surfing the net as I was looking for 2 1 gig sticks. I am currently using Corsair 1024-3200 TwinX Dual Channel Ram, as you can see from my sig below, the Dual Channel Ram is wasted in my system as it does not support it. So I was looking for good decent ram at 2 gig that would do a good job on my system. The Corsair Ram I am going to put in my other system as it does support dual channel. Here is the link to this Ram: http://www.memory-up.com/merchant2/merchan...1024X2BD64X8-RT

Can someone advise me?

Thanks

If you are wanting 2gig's then why not go with 4 sticks? you can get 2 sets of dual channel corsair for 480 that will run at 2-5-3-3 with 4 sticks installed. Here is the link to it on zipzoomfly.com http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=80097-17

dont worry about wasting the dual channel memory.. you want timings that are good and those are some of the best i have seen with 4 installed. for the approx price of the stuff you were planning on buying.

Crap, ok i didnt check your mobo first, didnt realize it only had 3 dimms :withstupid:

That looks real good but, the one problem I have with that is I only have 3 slots. Maybe I should just another Corsair 512 stick or a 1 gig stick with the same timings that I already have.... <_<
