WarWeeny Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 http://techreport.com/review/26735/overclocking-intel-pentium-g3258-anniversary-edition-processor/3 I think you'd be pleasantly surprised with the lowly dual core Pentium...especially overclocked. That obsolete dual core doing some good benchmarks uh With old games, yeh. Crysis 3 is old enough for yah? Wow. yeah it is lol, since the newer games are also developed for the current gen consoles it makes quite a difference. If they tested watchdogs, it would be more fair, but that wasn't released back then obvious, but the difference what WD needs compared to crysis in terms of cpu power is phenomenal. Even my previous i5 of 4.0GHz was bottle-necked by watch dogs, let alone a mere duo-core.
RazerZ Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) The G3258 is known to have a serious stuttering issues on newer games which can make use of multiple threads/cores. I've had a friend's friend say that Watchdogs was unplayable on his G3258. Edited November 4, 2014 by RazerZ
