kennethk Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 So I got my SSD in today, It reads it in my bios but it's not showing me a section on where to boot to unless I manually boot into it. In other words its not giving any option to make it my main boot drive. Any help here? White sata ports are 6gbps right?
El_Capitan Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 You should be able to set in your BIOS the default Boot order for your drives. You need to put the SSD first.
wevsspot Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Make sure your SSD is connected to the grey SATA port marked SATA6G_1 Boot and enter BIOS From main EZ Mode Window mouse click on Advanced Mode (or alternatively hot key F7) In Advanced Mode select the "Advanced" tab Now scroll down to SATA configuration and click on that Does your SSD show up as being connected to SATA6G_1? If the answer is yes, exit out of the Advanced tab menu and select the Boot menu Look down to Boot Option Priorities Set Boot Option #1 to your SSD Save changes and exit

I actually like having the option to select to boot into windows 7 from my 2nd drive.
SpikeSoprano Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 If you have w8 plus w7 installed on your pc it will always ask what os to boot to. That's the point of a dual boot system.
