Stonerboy779 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 You want me to dunk my PC in mineral oil? Not the best option if it is on for long periods of time. It works great at first but I wouldnt use it for a gaming or benchmarking rig unless you find n effective way to remove the heat load from the oil. NikoDG Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I wasn't planning on doing it anyways CPU, GPU, chipset, and mosfet blocks are what I'm planning on. I'm not crazy enough for HDD or RAM waterblocks (or to submerge it in oil)

Waco Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Through radiators, of course.
Boinker Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Take the evaporator from a refrigerator and dunk it in the oil. Use some ultra kaze fans to move the oil around. Sub zero temps and zero condensation. Win
Stonerboy779 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Through radiators, of course. Then why bother with oil? Good thing about oil (on low powered rigs, that dont run long extended stretches) is you can get a silent rig.

NikoDG Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Do it. Oh, and pics or it never happened Oh by the way, I heard something about high voltages, a naked mosfet, and fire. Your name was somewhere in there too Waco Edited January 13, 2012 by NikoDG

Win i have considered this but is a fridge really going to be able to shed enough heat? They are designed to keep cool thing cool not to continuously remove heat from something generating heat. Know of anyone who has done this effectively with an extreme kind of rig?
