Need help getting above 4.0 Ghz

Hello guys i am new to OC, I am stuck at 3.6 Ghz (3.8 with Turbo Mode) stable using linx test , I need some help getting past 4.0 Please. Thanks

 

Intel i7 960 CPU, Corsair Vengeance ddr3 1600 tripple channel 12 gb ram, EVGA FTW3 motherboard, EVGA GTX580 GPU, Antec 1200 watt PSU, Thermaltake FRIO cooling

try bumping up the cpu vcore a little. To about 1.3 then see how far you can get and when it starts to become unstable again bump it up a little more. Just make sure to monitor temps.

 

also you may want to lower your ram divider to 2:8 so you aren't overclocking your ram at the same time.

RAM is almost always the cause this early, lower that divider!
