Locutus Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 How the $#@& do I compile in C#? I have Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express and it runs flawlessly, but there's no way to compile! Do I have to buy a program to compile in C# or what? I didn't have this kind of trouble in Visual Basic. If I run into any other problems I'll probably post them here. For now I just need a compiler. WhenKittensATK Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) Maybe try exporting it or saving it and change the file type. I've never created a exe before We always turned in the source code file. Try this: http://www.caee.utexas.edu/prof/wright/CE311K/Visual%20Studio%20Help%20-%20Advanced.html (Making an Executable File) Edited May 29, 2011 by Krazyxazn
Locutus Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Pretty much everybody is pointing at using csc.exe but I don't seem to have that. I just reinstalled .NET 4.0 so we'll see if it's there after reboot.
d3bruts1d Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Build > Build Solution (CTRL + SHIFT + B). Look at the output dialogue to find out where it is saved.
Dariuas Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 If you compile the code, and then Run without Debugging, you get an executable in the \debug folder of the project directory.
