bigball1 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I just bought a GTX 480. I have a 9800GTX in my system now. My board has 2 PCIe slots so l can run 2 video cards. But what im wondering is there any reason to keep the older 9800 in my system? like for physx or cuda, but l dont think the 9800 will help any. I do use photoshop CS5 which runs better on nvidia cards. I do video editing which l use a mix of adobe and sony vegas. And of course gaming, The only game l play which uses physx or cuda is just cause 2, cod mw2, sc2. So is there any real reason l should keep the 9800 in, or should l take it out. Im just asking as maybe im missing something and need some opinions.

MercuryDoun Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Im pretty sure a 9800GTX+ is all you need for PhysX. So long as the 9800 wont be blocking air flow to your 480... you really dont want to stop or slow any air flow to those 480's.
