wetnoodl Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I have an i5-2500k OCed to 4.5Ghz Have an H70 with twin gentle typhoon fans running full blast. The problem I have is idle temp jumps around from 30-43 while loaded temps are rock solid at 60 degrees. Core voltage also moves around some at idle from .94v- 1.28v Is this a problem? should I be woried about anything? Ive reapplied grease several times now to no avail. If I have to i'll ditch this H70 and go with something else.
Crawlerz246 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 look I was confused at first too as to my 920 OC. run something like a sytem resourse monitor or task menager to make sure that what you call idle isn't actually 15% workload. I'm betting it is.
Owenisbad Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 This is nothing to worry about, those temps are fine and the core voltage is a power saving feature.
