Limit on OC'ing 6970? wtf?

So I load up AMD overdrive, I max the core clock and memory clock. 950mghz core 1450 memory. It's completely stable, I wan't to clock it further! WTF?!

I'm pretty sure the limits in the driver can be bypassed by using a third-party tool (doesn't Rivatuner go past them?).

Can't seem to get anything to work in Rivatuner. This is annoying, I wish they wouldn't limit you on how far to OC your graphics :( she's completely stable but maxed out on the OC I could snag a few more points out of 3d 11 if I could keep OC'ing :glare:

I know ASUS's Smart Doctor can go over 950, I'm downloading TriXX at the moment to check that for you

 

Edit: the ASUS utility recognized I didn't have an ASUS graphics card

 

TriXX maxes out at 1300mhz, here's the link

 

It may recognize you don't have a Sapphire card, but it's worth a shot

Yes.
