Hoody_s13 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) Hey all I'm running Prime95 to test the stability of my 980x on a 4.4ghz overclock. I started a blend test Im planning to leave on for 24 hours, i noticed it did start at 100% load. When I set it this afternoon temps were fairly good hovering around the early 70's (ambient temp at the moment is hot in Sydney, around 32 degrees tonight). Coming home tonight noticed its sitting on a fairly constant 92% load. What gives? Is this a sign of just not enough vcore? Test has been running now about 4 hours, 20 minutes. I'll post a pic up with all details, but basically running 31 multiplier with HT on, 143 blck, 1.35V CPU, 1.25 QPI and my Ram at its rated speed. All specs are in my sig. (due to high temps or unstable oc) try taskmanager for the loads to see if one of the cores has less activity then the rest. Really now. I could easily pass 10 tests on Intelburn test with my old E7200 back in the day. With 20 it would fail. It does matter how long you run tests. Runnin Prime95 for 8 hours will be good for gaming stability, if you pass 30 minutes but fail in 1 hour or even 2 your going to get crashes in games every now and then.
