reezer Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hey guys! my i have an oc'd x3 440 but my mobo just supports 95W tdp max. but in hardware monitor it is showing 105w. is this safe?
Boinker Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Well you do give a valid point about the Mobo being stretched a bit. I personally would not worry about it. But in the long run yes its going to cause a failure. (i personally don't think any time soon) Few questions regarding your question. What kind of Motherboard is it anyhow? If it only supports a 95W tdp I assume its an older generation motherboard correct? Edited December 26, 2010 by boinker
joel.monteiro Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I would not overclock,if its at stock ,ur mobo will not blow up.

(i personally don't think any time soon) I wouldnt push it anymore, i think it will be okay, but as boinker said, in the long run it wont be too good for your mobo.
