95W tdp max running at 105

Hey guys! my i have an oc'd x3 440 but my mobo just supports 95W tdp max. but in hardware monitor it is showing 105w. is this safe?

Well you do give a valid point about the Mobo being stretched a bit. I personally would not worry about it. But in the long run yes its going to cause a failure. (i personally don't think any time soon)

 

Few questions regarding your question.

 

What kind of Motherboard is it anyhow?

 

If it only supports a 95W tdp I assume its an older generation motherboard correct?

I would not overclock,if its at stock ,ur mobo will not blow up.

I wouldnt push it anymore, i think it will be okay, but as boinker said, in the long run it wont be too good for your mobo.

hey guys maybe im comparing 2 different things. im saying the proc in cpuid hardware monitor that the proc is running at 105w. is it the same with the 95 max tdp?
