The Above are my specs, the reason I'm asking is that there are a lot of posts about the i7 920 with C0 stepping that its unstable past 3.8GHz, but Ive gotten mine steady to 4.2GHz with intel burn test for 48 hours, what I'm asking is if there are any i7 over-clockers that have edged past that 4.2GHz to post here with some tips either mobo tweaks or upgrades that you have done or just simple bios tweaking that has worked for you so that I may test it out.

Watercooling with the Coolermaster H50 with 2x 2000rpm (120 CFM) fans keeping it around 19c idle, 25c max, just throw your information this way I appreciate it and ill definitely use it (if it works)!

Hmm...

1. A troll

2. A magic i7 920 C0 @4.2GHz and a supercooled H50 at 19C idle and 25C max

3. A soon-to-be-dead CPU from bad temp readings

In case you're not #1...

What's your CPU Vcore on that magic i7 920 C0?

What type of Intel Burn Tests did you run?

Did you run Prime95 Blend Tests?

How are you measuring your core temps?

well im not a troll, I have an AC window unit next to my machine for OC testing and added cooling.

im at my work pc right now but I have used intel burn test, and prime95 to stress everything other than hdd's

Post some pics when you get home, I have to see it to believe it! Still, what your Vcore is, and how you're measuring your core temps is a must know. You either have a magic i7 920 C0 CPU, or you're on the verge of burning up that CPU if you're reading your core temps wrong. I could have my computer next to an AC unit, but high core voltage would still spike high temps into the 70C's... and I have a way better cooling solution than an H50.

I have a few photobucket pics for you. minus the ac unit this was before i got my 12 gb of ram, I only have 6 in the picture (newegg has my other RMA'd 6gb currently), but I will post more pics tonight. remember these pics are like... 5 months old!

ive added fans and changed the ram and done more cable management, so the above pictures are a little askew

:pfp: Not of your system! It looks nice, btw!

I'm talking about a screenshot of a full round of Prime95, then 10 iterations of Intel Burn Test, with CPU-Z opened, and Real Temp to see your current/min/max temps. Real Temp should be opened before you run your tests.

wow now I feel like a dope a dope.. lol!, I'm at 3.8 to 4.0 because i got tired of random bluescreens that are happening in scenerios of playing games, idk why it would do that mid video-game and not buring a test phase.
