Serious Windows 7 problem!

Hey guys!

I decided today that I should reinstall my win7. It's all OK untill it starts installing. After a while the installer quits and reports an error (didnt remember it, ill go try install again and post it here) and restarts the computer. It does that at about 50-60% progress. I've had problems with installing windows 7 before, but I always managed to install it successfully afterwards. I am absolutely sure it's not the installation DVD's fault as I installed Windows from the same dvd a few days ago and it worked allright. I'm assu its either RAM, HDD or DVD-ROM that is causing the problem, but I am no expert..

EDIT: I just ran memtest from widows DVD and it showed nbothing.. Downloading the memtest68+ now, but i'm gonna try the memtest from a linux cd first.

So you are actually able to run windows? I know its rather irrelevant but if you installed it a couple of days ago, why bother wasting time redoing it?

Have you played with the bios since you last installed it? Try resetting cmos and then trying the installer again.

Also you might need to disconnect from the internet and disable your firewall and anti-virus,as it may be blocking some component.

It would help if you could copy down the error message so we can figure out whats stopping and then whats stopping it.

Actually i didnt install it on my pc, i forgot to mention than xD sorry

I didnt play with BIOS.. didnt oc or anything. I will try resetting cmos and see, will try to dc from the net too, but i doubt it will work because i was able to format the disk and there is no os on it.

Also, I ran memtest for 4h and here are the results

Kind of hard to be connected to the internet, disable antivirus and firewall after you have just formatted the drive isnt it? Try a different DVD drive...

As I said.. the DVD is 100% working.. I installed Win7 on my friends PC 2 or 3 days ago with the same DVD.. :/

it does sound like its the DVD drive causing the trouble if you have one try it and see if it will work.

Well that is normally done before a proper install so there is no software installed to disable. Been noticing a lot of misleading, stupid stuff on the forums lately...

Guys, another problem! :S

I didn't want to make a new topic so I'm posting here.

It's a BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.

I googled it and people say that it's probably a memory problem, but I ran memtest yesterday for 4h and it showed nothing.. :S

EDIT: Also, programs keep crashing continusly.

I went to event manager and there are multiple errors.

Reinstall .net framework and see what happens. A significant number of applications use it, so if it's corrupt it will affect everything that uses it.

Also update your motherbioard bios just to be safe.
