aaportnell Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Can anyone recommend some really silent 140mm case fans which still give some good airflow... preferably white, blue or black to match the color scheme
RJR Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 These look interesting, but I don't know of anyone using them yet to know for sure. The CFM/DBA ratio is unreal. http://www.prolimatech.com/en/products/detail.asp?id=160&page=
sack_patrol Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Noctua should have 140mm fans, and they make some badazz coolers and fans.
rocketeer55 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 personally i like the xigmatek 140mm fans. they are really quiet, move a good amount of air, and look sick. http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=

It's quieter and moves more air than my 120mm Noctua NF-P12's.

I just got one of their 140mms. Haven't gotten it installed yet, but will on Thursday once the rest of my parts arrive. As a side, virtually every 140mm fan will be pretty quiet. They spin at a low enough RPM to get in most cases less than 25dBa. Sure there are some of the high speed Yate Loon 140mms but the majority of the 140mms out there spin at or near 1000RPM which doesn't generate all that much noise. adriantrances Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 The Thermalright TY-TR 140mm fan is a solid contender, unfortunately it has 120mm mounting holes.
