liamstears Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Basically which one is better and why? The Samsung PB22-J SSD or the Seagate Momentus XT?
MrAlex Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 It depends on your needs: 1) Storage - SMXT 2) Performance/OS Drive - SSD They're two different products entirely, you can't really compare them.

MrAlex Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 The other question is, how big is the SSD? If it's 80GB or less, get the Seagate Momentus XT.

ebarone Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 SSD. No doubt. The first time you open your laptop and it doesnt take forever to come out of hibernate, you'll be happy you bought the SSD.

Guest ajmatson Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 As they said above, it depends on your needs. I use a lot of space in my netbook so I use a Momentus XT. To me there is not really that much of a difference between the SSD and the HDD Hybrid with the hardware in my Samsung N130 Netbook. wevsspot Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 You might be able to use Everest to give you some specific information about the motherboard model number and revision level that is in your laptop. Since it's an MSI we know for sure that it has an MSI motherboard in it
