Water Cooling Help

Recommended Posts

So I have some questions about water cooling I would like to start buying the parts I need from DangerDen but I dont know what I should go with or what tube size to use or even where to begin. I am only going to cool my Cpu for now but I would like to be able to get my GTX480's set up later down the line. My case is a Thermaltake Xaser VI and my rig is the one in my sig. I am also looking into a new case that I can get maybe a triple rad into if anyone has suggestions. I have about $400 to spend on the setup without the new case

I think it would be cool to try something like this http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1036/5/

Yes. The r3e uses the first and third pcie16 slots so that's why mine look so far apart. You can buy metal connecting tubes for sli but figured I'd save a few bucks and just use hose. The water block should not be thicker then the double slot cooler that is on the card now. I would measure for you but the zotac amp cards use up three slots with to air cooler on the card.

Do you have hose clamps on any of that?

For some reason I just don't use them. Have a loop on another computer for the past 3 years and it doesn't have clamps on it either. Guess im just lucky with not having leaks.

Risky.... Remember 7/16 inner diameter tubing fits snuggly with 1/2 barbs but always, always use clamps.
