thermal compounds

I would not go for the TX3 as I once had the misfortune of trying to spread it. It's the same viscosity as play-doh and only a method borne of frustration gave results.

I am currently using Arctic MX3 and it works great. Non conductive, no curing time, and a breeze to work with. Paired with a lapped CPU (and that means I use even less of it) it has yielded fantastic results.

Pay no attention to this! Tuniq TX-2 and TX-3 are 2 of the best TIMs out there. Yes it is very thick, and if your trying to manually spread it, you will have problems, but that is why there are many different methods of applying thermal paste! Here is a decent article about application methods and thermal paste results. Also, it will give you many different names to research!
