NB and SB voltages?

soon im gunna try to push my cpu to the max.. and was curious what does the North Bridge voltage (not the cpu-nb voltage) and the south bridge voltage do? do they increase overclock stability or do they really do anything what case woould you increase one of these voltages? (my comp is in my sig)

Southbridge doesnt have any overclocking implications. Increasing your NB volts can increase stability if the chip is cooled properly, but AFAIK thats only at a very high overclock.

Even at 4GHz, it would be prudent if you found a way to actively cool your NB... those things get VERY hot, and the addition of a small fan can probably stabilize your system even further once you break 4GHz.
