Disparaitre Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) As far as TIM's go, go with whatever you like for ease of cleanup, heatsink removal and price. All TIM's are within 1 - 3* of eachother so there is no such thing as a far superrior TIM. I chose AC Ceramique for ease of HSF removal when warm ( the crap is like glue when cold though ), non electrical conductivity and ease of cleanup, you should choose one that you like for similar properties. wevsspot Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I've done a lot of research on blocks and used several in my days. IMHO in order of performance; Heatkiller Rev 3 EK Supreme Swiftech Apogee GTZ and XT Supreme For me though a lot of it comes down to price versus performance and exactly the reason I'm running the Swiftech GTZ. I have a hard time justifying the price premium for the Heatkiller or EK Supreme. At best either of those will set you back $15 - $25 more over the Swiftech. I don't have a need for extreme overclocking nor the budget to allow me to buy the premium parts. Accordingly I ended up with the Apogee GTZ (and the original Apogee GT before that). So the end question for me was whether cooling performance at 3 - 5C lower was worth the extra $20 I'd spend on the HK or EK blocks. For me it wasn't.
