Drdeath Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 1st of all, whoever recommended a better cooling solution was only 50% correct. Most C3 revisions will hit 3.8Ghz on stock voltage with a little bios tweaking. Better cooling will allow one to overclock higher. 2nd of all, there was no problem with the C2 revision with 1600MHz ram. All Phenom's natively support 1333MHz ram even with the C3 revision. This does not mean both the C2 revision and C3 revision could not obtain 1600MHz + on ram. The IMC was worked over on the C3 revision and that revision gets higher overclocks. OP. Here is how you apply your thermalpaste. Use a spot the size of a small pea. Thats it.
