RJR Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Go into the Bios and make sure it shows this drive first in boot configuration.
wevsspot Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Jonny, I'm assuming that you are installing Win7 from optical media (i.e. CD or DVD)? If so, you will need to go into your BIOS and make sure that your optical drive is set as the first boot device. Your best bet is probably to clear your BIOS and then load BIOS defaults before a fresh install. On every default BIOS I've ever seen (save really old days when the floppy was first on the list) this will set the CDROM/DVDROM as your first boot device. It will also set everything back to default values if you've been overclocking or poking around in your BIOS otherwise. If you are just going to run a single drive as your boot/os drive then you should also set your hard drive option to AHCI. If you'll tell me what motherboard you're running I can point you to the right places in the BIOS. Regards,
