yes that combo will work very well together...I have one myself I use on a 5000+ dual core and it works great...the twin frzr as it's called also works very well...

the SPDIF cable is Adio Optical Output generally used for patching sound into your Home Theater or HTPC....

you dont need to even use this unless you plan to use the card in an HTPC and want good Digital Audio...

for regular PC and gaming it isnt needed at all....

make sure the BIOS version you have supports the 6000+ CPU...you may need to flash it...

but make sure the voltages are set right...vcore and memory and such...

my bios have support the 6000+ cpu..

all were set right..

is it power supply problem?

What motherboard do you have and what revision is it? What brand/model is your PSU? When yourPC shuts down can you turn it right back on without issues?

Install/run OCCT and see if that makes the system crash, if not install/run Furmark and see if that makes the system crash.

Monitor your temperatures during 3dmark. Post the highest numbers here.
