Exile Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) Well, I just tried to oc my computer at 10%, it would not run windows. so, I must have done something wrong. I changed the settings from normal, to AI Overclock, then it allowed me to OC. please notice, I tried it at 10% OC, then set the voltage to 1.3 the computer fialed, the windows screen turned blue, so I restarted. I tried 10% OC, let the voltage on AUTO. the windows screen turned blue, so I restarted. and now I am here, asking what to do. pics.. of options. CowKing Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) try doing manual for 'AI Tuning' and see what you can get on the stock voltages, but wait for people who have experience with AMD processors before trying anything to risky Also, have you read any guides? I don't understand how to do it manual, I have CPUZ downloaded. says 2600-2604. I have read I can get this processor to atleast 3.0 ghz, but no luck on finding any info so far. I think I will have to do it manual too. about the guides, I have read 1 from another site, I really don't understand it. I am trying though! thanks for the help. Exile Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) alright, I am up to 3.0 GHZ (my goal) in my Bios it says the CPU heat is at 48. but in SPEEDFAN program, says GPU not CPU says the temp is GPU 46c temp1 35c temp2 31c temp3 127c HDO 28c temp1 40c core 36c did the program get confused (GPU, not CPU?) I have my case opened right now, and I am feeling the heat sink, it is cold, not even hot at all. so, what should i do? where can I download a stress test to make sure everything is working. Edited March 21, 2010 by sdy284 fixed so it doesn't take up 3x as much room ;)

sunan Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) u can increase the fsb in "AI tuning" option, set it to manual, then go to "overclock option", increase the fsb step by step until it become unstable, here u have to option, either back down the fsb to a stable frequency, or u can increase the voltage to make it stable. if u hv phenom black edition with unlock multiplier, so far as my experince, u can bump to 3.1 by increasing mulptiplier to 15.5 at 1.4v. i can get as far as 3.15ghz (205 X 15.5) at 1.4v stable with everest stabilty test, but couldnt past intel burn test (got freeze screen). i can past intel burn test at 3.0ghz (200 X 15) at 1.4v, but due to in-game stability, i dnwclock to 2.9ghz (200 x 14.5) at 1.34v.
