rmb938 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hi, I currently got my cpu to 3.5Ghz without any problem but I can't get it past 3.5Ghz without windows crashing. CPU Multi: 13x(max) FSB: 270 CPU/NP: 2160 HT: 1.6 CPU Volt 1.45 DRAM 900 Any ideas on what I can do to get it above 3.5Ghz? My temps are fine idling at 18C and load on 24C. Finalheaven Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I don't think I would know where to start. There are many factors that need some clarification, such as ram(default specs/timings), the processor you are using and such. I don't know what processor you are using just by looking at your overclocked results. Plus, the saying goes, have you tried the search function or maybe read up on existing threads to see other's results?
sdy284 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 +1 what proc are you using? the one in the sig? is all your hardware the same as your sig? download http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and post screen shots of the CPU and memory tabs

El_Capitan Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I don't have the Phenom II x3 710, but the x3 720 BE. The highest stable overclock I got was up to 3.7GHz, but I had to push my VCore from 1.400V @ 3.6GHz to 1.525V. A .125V increase just for another 100MHz wasn't worth it to me, even though cooling wasn't an issue. You might be in the same situation.
