? on heatpipes

I know they work great in there position with the case standing in its normal position but would it make a difference in temps is you lay your case on its side? I'm asking because I'm thinking of doing my next build in a horizontal style case instead of a vertical one.

How well heat pipes work with reference to orientation really depends on the internal workings of the heat pipe.

I wouldn't worry about orientation too much (except perhaps upside down...with a heat pipe that doesn't have a wick material)

Just install it properly. Heatpipes shouldn't be pointed in a way that the substance inside can be trapped away from the cpu.
