I've gotta rescue datas but laptop not opening

Hello everyone

 

I've gotta rescue some datas from a laptop - which does not belong to me, so I do not know what made it got out of order -. BUT It is not opening. Everything is okey until WindowsXP Welcome Screen. But Black Screen comes instead of XP welcome screen. And It black screen doesn't go for hours. Nothing happens on computer in it situation.

 

Just help me fixing it.

boot up through a ubuntu live disk and just look through the hard drives and copy everything off. If you had to rescue data from a laptop of coarse it won't boot right so you would have to boot into a cd or usb disk.

you could also boot from the xp disc and run

repair mode

then

chkdsk /r

then a fixboot

then fixmbr

that will ush get you into the os

unless there is a hardware issue.

... and if there is a hardware issue, tear the hard drive out and put it into another computer or an enclosure.
