Best CPU Air Cooling Solution

No, it is probably comparable to a Zalman cooler. With the i7's it gets hot really fast. The Megahalems or D14 are your best bet.

Did you have a chance to test that yourself or maybe you can point me to the place where the comparison was made?

Please have a look at this chart: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardw...-review-10.html

The D14 result looks pretty much the same as the H50 to me.

Actualy it all depends on the airflow of the case/testbed and the ambient temperature. Oh and btw OCC has a review on the NH-D14 right here. On the 4th page you can see the stock load temp is 41C vs the H50 running 58C. And the NH-D14 is quieter and way safer imo.

Hello,

Im currently using Corsair H50 in push and pull configuration as an exhaust in my Cooler Master Storm Scout. I bought a pair of Cooler Master Fans >>>

In my opinion H50 is one of the best price performance coolers around. Proof few tests I made running 20 passes LinX max memory usage, cooling a 920 D0 overclocked to 4.0 GHZ with 1.25 v in BIOS, the H50 manages to keep all my cores below 70 C with an ambient temperature of 25 C (want screenshots just ask). Before H50 I tested a friends V8 and with the same settings cores were touching 76 C. Besides you wont have few pounds and a monsters attached to your motherboard  .

I found this topic on a forum, take a look:

With your setup I would use a costum water cooling kit, since I saw you dont worry about price.
