TheConqueror Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Hey everyone. Whenever i boot Windows (XP Proffessional) i get the message pci.sys is missing/corrupt. I use the windows XP disk to fix the file, or i boot into safe mode and manually replace it with a healthy file. When i boot up it works, but whenever my computer turns off, when i boot back up i get the same message. how can i fix this?
RimX Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 best bet would be to do a fresh install...probably being caused by a larger issue with the os, something running on shutdown that is improperly modifying that file.
