SenitaL Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) May I ask what you have your NB clocked at? I cant remember if it was 2000 or 2400 as i remember fiddeling arround with both This IS the CPU-NB your talking about right? TheHostileGamer Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 This IS the CPU-NB your talking about right? Correct. Should be shown in your CPU-Z under your current bus speed on the first tab.
sack_patrol Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 You really should get a new cooler and you'd then get more overclocking space. I wouldn't suggest getting new fans for your current cooler because it'd be more expensive. If your gonna give money, get a new better cooler. OCC will happily assist you to find the best price:quality ratio cooler. Now for the CPU-NB this guy you don't wanna go beyond 2600. It will then start to make things worse rather than help. Dolk's Guide has a little nifty...actually 2 nifty tables that show approximately what NB freq u wanna have at what CPU speed, and what NB Voltage you wanna have at what NB freq. Of course every chip is different so don't take everything written there for 100% accurate for your cpu. Also sometimes modifying the South Bridge helps with stability in overclocking though I can't say much about it. I'll let someone else explain how it works.
