damondiptee Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 hey, I can have some advice/help with this issue? please? if you don't mind hi there, my name is damon....... I'm very ashamed as is to say, but im a big noob at overclocking and stuff like that....... never had any experience with it.... I recently built up a gaming rig from ground up these are my specs: Intel Core i7 950 EVGA X58 classified 759 ( 3-way sli) Corsair H50 water cooling 3X2 gig of Mushkin Ram @ 1600 2 X 295 gtx co op 9800gtx+ for physX 2 X 750 Gb hard drives and a 500 Gb so right now, my i7 950 is @ 4.1 GHZ..... I'm guessing that's good... but the problem is....... I cant seem to cross 174-175 cant remember which exact figure.... without my PC crashing and getting the BSOD or refusing to boot......... I have seen other people with like 190-200..... so idk Q_Q these are my bios settings, voltages etc etc...... I would greatly app it... if you can help me solve this issue........ thanking you in advance and the time for reading my message to you. my RAM cas timings are 8-8-8-24-74. the readings I am about to give u are from EVGA e-eleet software. AIinc Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 4GHz is really all you need for gaming. What cpu clock are you trying to reach, cause your system looks fine as it is!

road-runner Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Actually you should be able to do 4.2Ghz with nothing but a vcore increase if you have a decent cpu...
